The role

We are seeking Senior and Staff Back-End Engineers to join our institutional development community in London. This is a full-time position suited for mid-level professionals who are eager to build the next generation of software systems for the cryptocurrency industry. You will work in a hybrid environment, balancing time between our Central London office and remote work.

Core responsibilities

• Collaborate with your fellow engineers and team leads to create innovative software solutions that support our global institutional operations.
• Design, build, and take full ownership of high-performance backend solution stacks.
• Maintain and optimize our existing systems to ensure they remain scalable, performant, and extensible as our business grows.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong grasp of software engineering principles and a curiosity about both traditional finance and the crypto market. Your background should include the following:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Between 1 and 7 years of experience in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
• Proficiency with modern backend technologies, specifically FastAPI, SQL, and Redis.
• A willingness to work with or learn Rust.
• Familiarity with Unix-like operating systems and strong communication skills.
• Experience with trading-related backend applications is preferred, while knowledge of Solidity, CI/CD, or cloud platforms like AWS and GCP is considered a plus.
