About the Role

We are seeking a Senior ZKP Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will focus on maintaining SP1 as the most performant zkVM in the industry. You will balance your time between deep research into the latest cryptographic advancements and hands-on prototyping and implementation, working closely with our core ZK team to push the boundaries of what is possible in the space.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks within SP1 at both the software and proof system levels.
• Architect and design innovative algorithms and arguments to enhance the performance of our proof systems.
• Stay at the forefront of the field by reviewing the latest research papers and evaluating how new developments can be integrated into our existing infrastructure.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in the development of zkVMs or ZK proving systems.
• A robust background in mathematics and cryptography, specifically regarding proof system families like STARKs and FRI.
• Proficiency in Rust or other programming languages commonly used for implementing new ZK systems.
• A high degree of agency and a strong sense of ownership over your work.
• Excellent communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration within our technical team.

Location

This position is on-site in the United States. Our team is based in San Francisco, and we value the collaboration that happens when we work together in person. We are happy to assist with relocation for the right candidate.
