Senior Web3 Software Engineer at Fuellabs

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain responsive frontend applications that integrate seamlessly with blockchain protocols for our core DeFi products.
• Manage complex user flows, including multi-sig approvals, cross-chain bridging, and account abstraction.
• Collaborate on API design, RPC optimization, and indexer queries to ensure real-time data delivery.
• Establish frontend architecture and enforce Web3 best practices, such as gas optimization and rigorous security testing.
• Review code across the stack, including Solidity and Sway, while mentoring team members to drive technical excellence.
• Translate intricate DeFi requirements into intuitive user interfaces for trading and market-making.
• Identify technical debt and proactively propose upgrades to improve system scalability and security.

Must-haves

• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior or lead role within the blockchain space.
• Deep proficiency in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Extensive experience with Web3 libraries like ethers.js and managing data-intensive dapps.
• Strong understanding of blockchain security, including private key management and protection against common vulnerabilities.
• Backend development experience using Node services, off-chain indexers, and event listening.
• Expertise in REST and GraphQL, along with advanced state management in volatile environments.
• Excellent communication skills for working effectively within a fast-paced, autonomous, and remote team.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience working at a centralized or decentralized exchange.
• Background in building complex trading UIs, such as order books and candlestick charts.
• Experience with performance tuning for high-throughput DeFi applications.
• Familiarity with tokenomics, liquidity mining, or working with audited protocols.
• Knowledge of design systems and modern development tooling like Vite, esbuild, or Foundry.
