Senior Tech Lead Software Engineer, Web, Frontend Focused at Core

The role

We are seeking a Senior Tech Lead Software Engineer with a strong focus on the frontend to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level position perfect for someone who thrives in early-stage environments and wants to be one of the first engineering hires. You will work in a hybrid capacity, helping us build and scale our platform from the ground up while shaping the technical direction of our product.

Core responsibilities

• Design and implement exceptional user experiences for both fitness instructors and their students across desktop and mobile web platforms, including Progressive Web Apps.
• Lead the development of our web strategy and embeddable components using Svelte, ensuring our technical architecture is both robust and flexible enough to iterate quickly based on user feedback.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to evaluate technical tradeoffs, translate ideas into reality, and maintain high-quality code standards throughout our product lifecycle.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess a deep understanding of frontend fundamentals and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software. We value candidates who bring:

• Expertise in frontend development with a willingness to work across the stack on APIs and backend systems when necessary.
• Experience working within agile teams at either high-growth startups or established technology companies.
• A self-starting mindset characterized by curiosity, empathy, and a collaborative spirit.
• Bonus points for familiarity with MobX, Elixir, Flutter, or experience building with video technologies and two-sided marketplaces.
• Fluency in English.

Compensation and benefits

We believe in rewarding our early team members for their commitment and impact. This role offers a salary range of $130,000.00 to $180,000.00 per year, along with significant, competitive equity. Our benefits package includes:
