What is this role?

We are searching for a Senior Systems Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an on-site position located in Hayward, California. As a senior member of our engineering group, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and controlling our mobile robotics platforms and industrial machinery. We are looking for someone with extensive experience who is ready to take ownership of complex projects and help us deploy high-impact technology to our customers.

What will you do?

• Develop and maintain core system software for both our on-robot platforms and our off-robot infrastructure.
• Create performance analysis tools to evaluate our systems during testing and while operating in the field.
• Test, debug, and improve our data and training pipelines to ensure our robotic systems perform reliably and efficiently.

What makes you a great fit?

To succeed in this role, you should have at least 6 years of professional experience in software or systems engineering. We value candidates who have a deep, advanced knowledge of C++ and a strong background in working with Linux environments. You should be comfortable with Python and familiar with standard development tools like Git, Jira, and Jenkins. Because our work involves high-performance hardware, experience with embedded systems and multithreading is essential.
