PlayStation Global is looking for a Senior Staff Technical Artist Environment

Full Time Senior On-site United States Python C++Maya English

Welcome to Sony Bend Studio. We are the team behind iconic titles like Days Gone, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, and Syphon Filter. Right now, we are hard at work on our next major AAA console project, and we would love for you to join our creative family to help us bring it to life.

What is this role?

We are looking for a Senior Staff Technical Artist to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. This is a senior-level position where you will play a vital role in shaping our technical development. You will focus specifically on building pipelines, designing art tools, and supporting the workflows that empower our Environment Art team to reach their full potential.

What will you do?

Collaborate closely with the Environment Art team and other departments to build and refine tools that boost production efficiency while ensuring we hit our high visual quality standards.
Develop prototypes that showcase our technical goals, help set the bar for quality, and push the studio toward new technical innovations.
Take an active hand in creating environment art assets that require specialized technical art expertise.

What makes you a great fit?

To thrive in this role, you should have at least seven years of professional experience in the video game industry. We are looking for someone who is highly proficient in Python and Maya. Because you will be working across different teams, you need excellent communication skills and the ability to turn complex design documents into clear, actionable plans. We also value the ability to process feedback quickly and iterate on your work. While not required, we would love to see experience with C++, Qt, Houdini, or Substance tools. Please be prepared to share examples of your work or participate in an art test as part of our process.

What's in it for you?

Joining our studio means becoming part of a passionate team dedicated to crafting top-tier gaming experiences. You will have the opportunity to influence the technical direction of high-profile AAA titles while working alongside some of the most talented developers in the industry.
