The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our protocol team and take a lead role in shaping the core architecture of our blockchain. This is a high-impact position where you will design and optimize the foundational layers of our network. You will be at the center of our technical strategy, working on everything from consensus mechanisms to state management. A day in the life
- You will write and maintain the core code that powers the Sei Blockchain, focusing on critical areas like consensus and state management.
- You will proactively seek out ways to improve our infrastructure, driving performance optimizations that keep our network running at peak efficiency.
- You will partner with our frontend team to refine our REST API, ensuring that our customers have the robust tools they need to build on our platform.
Who you are
You are a seasoned infrastructure engineer with at least five years of experience under your belt. You have a track record of building or scaling Layer 1 blockchains and understand the nuances of high-performance systems. We are looking for a technical leader who can plan large-scale projects and guide a team toward long-term success. You possess excellent judgment when it comes to prioritizing tasks, and you have a history of implementing new processes that make the entire engineering team more efficient. You are fluent in English and ready to tackle complex problems in a fully remote, global environment.
