As primary contributors to Wormhole, we play a critical role in strengthening the backbone of major blockchains. We are looking for a Senior Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join our fully remote, global team and help us manage the complex compute infrastructure that supports these decentralized ecosystems.

Key outcomes

• Manage and maintain compute infrastructure while ensuring the reliability of the applications that depend on it.
• Deeply analyze the architecture of various blockchain applications to establish best operating practices and effective debugging techniques.
• Proactively document your findings, including incident post-mortems and preventative strategies, to share knowledge across the team.
• Collaborate effectively within a distributed environment by maintaining clear, frequent, and written communication.
• Propose thoughtful, well-documented solutions to complex technical challenges.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps methodologies.
• Strong proficiency in workload orchestration, specifically using Kubernetes.
• A solid background in designing and reasoning about distributed systems.
• Practical experience operating Blockchain RPC nodes and Validators, such as those for Solana or Ethereum.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative while supporting the broader team goals.
