Senior Staff Research Scientist, Computer Vision and Generative AI at Voxel

We are looking for a Senior Staff Research Scientist to join our team in a full-time, hybrid capacity. Responsibilities

• Lead the invention and implementation of state-of-the-art computer vision and generative AI algorithms while staying current with the latest advancements in deep learning and visual reasoning.
• Design and maintain scalable, real-time systems capable of processing video feeds from thousands of cameras 24/7 to extract actionable safety insights.
• Collaborate across teams, including software engineering and ML operations, to transition research findings into production and optimize model deployment at scale.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong technical background and a proven track record of shipping research-based products.

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience, or a PhD in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrated experience building and deploying deep learning models for large-scale video analysis and a familiarity with generative AI techniques.
• Practical Experience: A history of working with massive video datasets and successfully translating complex machine learning research into real-world applications.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional discussions and explain technical concepts to various stakeholders.
• Preferred Skills: Experience with multi-modal architectures, Visual Language models, and video-focused neural networks for activity recognition or spatiotemporal understanding is highly valued.
