About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Solar Project Engineer to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this position, you will take the lead on designing, overseeing, and supporting our commercial and grid-supplied solar photovoltaic systems. You will be a vital part of our engineering operations, where you will manage project teams, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide the technical expertise necessary to bring our large-scale renewable energy projects to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor project teams, providing clear objectives and professional guidance to ensure the successful execution of solar PV system designs.
- Coordinate with structural, electrical, and civil engineers to manage the professional review process and secure necessary stamps for technical drawing packages.
- Provide ongoing technical support to our construction and project management teams, including handling RFIs, reviewing equipment specifications, and assisting with interconnection paperwork for electric utilities.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess a blend of technical proficiency and leadership capability:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required, with an advanced degree considered a plus.
- At least 5 years of professional experience specifically within solar design and project engineering.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and the MS Office suite.
- Demonstrated expertise in electrical, mechanical, structural, or civil engineering design.
- Strong leadership skills, including a proven ability to supervise, mentor, and motivate team members.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, paired with the ability to communicate complex technical details clearly.
