The role
We are seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level position based in India, and you will work in a hybrid capacity. As we expand our reach, we need someone with a deep understanding of complex distributed systems who can effectively test, troubleshoot, and ensure our high quality standards are met across our hardware and software products.
Core responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to define system requirements and create comprehensive, well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using industry-standard tools to ensure the reliability of our distributed components.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and coaching to other testing team members while contributing to the definition and improvement of our overall quality assurance processes.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should bring a strong technical background and a collaborative mindset. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in both manual and automation testing.
- Hands-on programming proficiency in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Proven experience with AWS infrastructure and testing REST APIs.
- Expertise in Selenium for web testing and Cucumber for BDD workflows.
- Familiarity with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
