Role at a glance
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level position based in the United States. You will operate in a hybrid capacity, working on campus for a minimum of 2 to 4 days per week with the flexibility to work offsite for the remainder of the time.
Your impact
- Take ownership of engineering goals related to people, processes, and technologies to solve complex business problems.
- Manage and mentor software engineers and technical leads while staying close to the code to ensure high-quality, impactful development.
- Liaise between architects, product managers, and our investment community to prioritize initiatives and uphold rigorous software development standards.
What you'll need
- At least 5 years of experience managing software engineers and technical leads, including a mix of work in both large enterprise environments and startup-adjacent settings.
- Strong expertise in software engineering fundamentals, specifically within distributed systems and microservices, alongside a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, paired with a relevant academic background in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar discipline.
- A passion for technical excellence, the ability to organize multiple concurrent initiatives, and an openness to direct feedback.
Perks and compensation
The total compensation band for this role is $1MM to $1.5MM, which includes base salary, a discretionary bonus, and long-term incentives. The base salary component is expected to be between 30% and 40% of this total range.
