The role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an executive-level position that requires a blend of deep technical expertise and strong people management skills. You will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing remote work with in-person collaboration at our headquarters in Culver City, California. We need someone who is ready to hit the ground running, represent our values within the veterinary community, and help us scale our technology to meet our mission.

Core responsibilities

• Take full, end-to-end ownership of projects across your team or teams.
• Mentor and guide engineers to improve their performance and the quality of their work while making key design decisions.
• Partner closely with our recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates, screening talent, and co-owning outreach activities like technical blog posts and talks.

Skills and experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 7 years of experience as a software developer, with a strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in people management, with a genuine passion for mentorship.
• Proven experience in building and operating large-scale, distributed systems.
• Exceptional communication skills, allowing you to bridge the gap between developers, product managers, partners, and customers.

Compensation and benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $131,000 to $205,000, though final offers may vary based on your specific skills and experience. In addition to base pay, we offer equity compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
