The role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Enterprise group on a full-time basis. Based in Chile, this role operates within a hybrid model, requiring you to be in the office two to three days per week to foster collaboration and innovation. You will be at the heart of our mission, focusing on building seamless integrations with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to empower our clients and their applicants.

Core responsibilities

• Design, build, and test new features for our ATS integrations while deepening your understanding of how these systems interact with the Checkr platform.
• Collaborate with internal and external developers to create solutions that enhance productivity and define requirements for expanding our public APIs.
• Mentor junior engineers on technical best practices and work alongside our operations team to address performance and scalability challenges in our integration services.

Skills and experience

To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong sense of ownership and a passion for writing clean, scalable code. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages, specifically Ruby on Rails, Java, or Python.
• Experience building and consuming various API types, including REST, SOAP, and gRPC.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, CI/CD tools, and infrastructure services like API Gateways.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical discussions.
• A background in IPaaS platforms is considered a plus.
