What is this role?

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. This is a senior-level position where you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and delivering high-quality solutions that improve the immigration experience. You will work within a collaborative environment where continuous learning and maintainable architecture are highly valued.

What will you do?

• Architect and deliver major product initiatives by collaborating with product managers to break down complex projects into actionable tasks.
• Improve technical infrastructure by identifying gaps in the codebase, addressing technical debt, and enhancing the overall reliability and performance of our applications.
• Foster an inclusive culture by mentoring early-career engineers, participating in interview loops, and setting best practices that help the entire team grow.

What makes you a great fit?

You are an experienced full-stack developer who is comfortable working with Ruby on Rails, React, JavaScript, and TypeScript. While you do not need to be an expert in every one of these technologies on day one, we expect you to have deep expertise in similar frameworks and the ability to learn our stack quickly. You should be a strong communicator who is comfortable leading system designs and collaborating with stakeholders. Mentorship is a core part of this role, so we are looking for someone who enjoys helping others succeed. Experience with Cypress or similar end-to-end testing frameworks is essential, as we are strongly committed to automated testing. A solid understanding of security practices is also a significant plus.
