What you bring

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Loan Team on a full-time, remote basis. You will play a pivotal role in scaling our core lending product, ensuring our payment solutions remain reliable as we grow, and architecting high-availability financial systems using Java, SpringBoot, and robust cloud infrastructure. While our team is distributed, we prefer candidates based in the Greater Seattle or San Francisco Bay Area to facilitate our quarterly in-person gatherings.

• Architect and maintain critical components for our loan products and the underlying cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers throughout the software lifecycle to drive key business outcomes.
• Mentor fellow engineers while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with at least six years of professional programming experience. You must have a deep understanding of Java 11+ and SpringBoot, including expertise in multi-threading and the JVM memory model. We are looking for someone who has successfully shipped highly available, customer-centric software that supports large numbers of concurrent users. Experience with payment systems, third-party integrations, and onboarding flows is highly valued. You should be a proactive problem solver who is comfortable working in a remote, collaborative environment and communicating effectively in English.

What we offer
