What is this role?
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis in the United Kingdom. This is a senior-level position where you will play a central role in architecting the systems that power our AI transcription models. You do not need prior experience with audio or speech technology to succeed here, as we value your passion for building great tech and collaborating with others.
What will you do?
- Own the end-to-end process of building unique solutions for our customers, which includes talking directly with partners to understand their requirements and integrating our speech recognition technology into a wide variety of devices.
- Take charge of initiatives to improve our system architecture, performance, and stability by profiling and debugging our C++ engine and machine learning models.
- Shape our engineering culture by mentoring team members, improving technical documentation, and promoting best practices across our diverse engineering teams.

You are a collaborative engineer who feels comfortable developing production software in C++ and Python. You enjoy solving complex problems and are eager to work with our technical stack, which includes PyTorch, Docker, Gitlab, CUDA, ONNX, and Linux. You are a pragmatic thinker who understands how to balance technical trade-offs while maintaining a focus on high-quality code. Most importantly, you are a curious learner who thrives in environments where you can experiment and tinker to find the best solutions.
