Senior Software Engineer at Finalis

Welcome to Finalis. We are a fast-growing, venture-backed startup on a mission to transform private capital markets by building the world’s largest AI-native dealmaking platform. Since our launch in 2020, we have been dedicated to empowering dealmakers through our comprehensive regulatory affiliation and compliance back-office solutions. As we scale, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and help us build the infrastructure that supports everything from M&A to private placements. While we maintain a presence in San Francisco and New York, our team operates in a hybrid model, and we are currently looking for candidates who reside in the United States.

What you'll be doing

• You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that power our core compliance, data, and payment products.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and compliance, to turn complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions.
• You will take full ownership of projects from the initial design phase through to deployment, monitoring, and long-term architectural planning.

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in software engineering and a passion for building secure, reliable systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of professional experience, ideally within a fast-paced startup or a regulated industry like fintech.
• Deep technical expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, and React.
• A solid understanding of distributed systems, backend architecture, and modern API design.
• Experience working with relational databases, cloud platforms, and security best practices.
• Fluency in English and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
