Role at a glance
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Commerce group and focus on our user-generated content initiatives. This is a full-time, hybrid position that offers the flexibility to work remotely, ideally within the Eastern Time Zone. You will be a key contributor to our back-end services and play a major role in shaping our technical strategy.
Your impact
- Lead end-to-end feature projects by collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to solve complex challenges in the e-commerce and content marketing space.
- Drive technical excellence by establishing best practices for documentation, automated testing, and clean, maintainable code across our growing engineering team.
- Scale our infrastructure and back-end APIs while supporting DevOps initiatives to ensure our services remain performant, secure, and reliable for our global customer base.
What you'll need
To thrive in this role, you should be a pragmatic problem solver with a product-first mindset. We value engineers who take ownership of their work and are comfortable challenging the status quo to improve our systems. You should be proficient in English and possess deep technical expertise across our stack, which includes:
- Languages: Python, Ruby on Rails, Scala, and JavaScript.
- Infrastructure & Data: Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Mindset: A commitment to engineering excellence, scalability, and delivering intuitive solutions that provide clear value to our users.
