The role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position open to candidates located anywhere. You will play a vital role in our engineering organization, working within small, autonomous teams to design and deliver meaningful features that impact real estate investment professionals worldwide. We prioritize a modern tech stack, leaning heavily into Ruby on Rails, Stimulus, and Hotwire, while utilizing JavaScript, React, and Tailwind CSS for our front-end experiences.

Core responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship major features for our suite of products, taking ownership of the full-stack development process.
• Collaborate closely with designers, stakeholders, and fellow developers to ensure we are delivering high-quality, maintainable, and efficient solutions.
• Mentor junior team members, lead by example regarding best practices, and actively contribute to shaping our engineering culture and internal processes.

Skills and experience

• At least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.
• A proven track record of taking impactful projects from the initial design phase all the way to production using Ruby on Rails.
• A strong commitment to code health, testability, and scalability.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, low-ego approach to problem-solving.
• Strong analytical abilities and a results-oriented mindset toward software craftsmanship.
