The role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Lending and Credit Card team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position available to candidates located anywhere. As a senior member of our engineering organization, you will play a critical role in building the systems that guide business owners toward the right financial options based on their unique circumstances.

Core responsibilities

• Design and build mission-critical systems and solutions that small businesses rely on for credit reports, alerts, and financing marketplaces.
• Scale services that integrate with banking data vendors and other internal platforms to optimize the customer experience from sign-up through application.
• Collaborate cross-stack to turn business requirements into technical solutions while helping to establish best practices within our growing engineering team.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in software development and a passion for solving complex problems. We value candidates who are comfortable with ambiguity and ready to learn new technologies.

• At least 5 years of professional programming experience in a production environment using Golang, Elixir, or JavaScript.
• A proven track record of delivering maintainable backend systems within a Linux environment.
• Experience or familiarity with our core stack, including GraphQL, TypeScript, React, NodeJS, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and PostgreSQL.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholders.
• A bias for action and an analytical mindset that allows you to change course quickly based on new insights.

Compensation and benefits

We believe in transparency and trust, which is why we offer a competitive total rewards package. The base salary for this position is targeted between $130,000 and $165,000 per year, with the final offer determined by your specific proficiencies. Our benefits package includes:
