We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. At GreyNoise, we are a mission-driven security startup dedicated to helping organizations understand and mitigate risks from internet scanning and exploitation. We provide real-time intelligence on actors scanning the web by leveraging a global fleet of thousands of purpose-built sensors. Our advanced data science and AI techniques process millions of events to help our community of over 10,000 users and 100-plus paid customers reduce noise and prioritize threats. Responsibilities
- Lead projects centered on API development, data delivery pipelines, and integrations while ensuring they meet the needs of our customers.
- Act as a technical mentor and leader by triaging on-call issues, guiding sprint planning, and helping unblock team members to ensure effective execution.
- Collaborate closely with our product and engineering teams to design and deliver highly reliable, scalable, and performant customer-facing APIs.
Requirements
We are seeking someone with a culture-first and team-first mindset. You should have at least 5 years of production software engineering experience, including a strong background in developing RESTful APIs and integrations. You must be proficient in Go for backend development and have experience leveraging Elasticsearch for search and analytics pipelines. Additionally, you should be comfortable managing cloud-based infrastructure, such as S3 and GCP, and have experience with Protobuf for efficient data serialization. We value candidates who have a structured approach to debugging and triaging complex distributed systems in a fast-paced environment.
