About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will serve as a technical leader, owning high-impact projects and driving the design and implementation of our core systems. You will report directly to the Director of Technology and collaborate with a talented group of full-stack engineers, a data engineer, and an IT manager to support our business growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and testing of critical product improvements while providing technical expertise across cross-functional teams.
• Take ownership of our web application architecture, which utilizes Python Django for the API and Vue.js for the front end, alongside GCP infrastructure like Kubernetes and PostgreSQL.
• Proactively identify and address technical debt, establishing best practices for system design and project execution to ensure long-term scalability.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who brings a strategic mindset and a passion for solving complex technical challenges. Your qualifications should include:

• At least 7 years of software development experience, ideally with a background in the healthcare industry.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and Django, with a strong ability to build and test scalable back-end APIs.
• Practical experience with DevOps workflows, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure management tools like Terraform.
• Deep understanding of relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL, including design, indexing, and optimization.
• A proven track record of scoping complex projects and creating proof-of-concept solutions to ensure technical readiness before scaling.
