What you'll be doing
- Design, develop, and maintain the core platform systems that power the entire Docker Desktop lifecycle, including installation, updates, and startup processes.
- Build and evolve essential shared components, such as feature flags, settings, and internal platform services that support our various feature teams.
- Enhance system reliability, performance, and observability by implementing robust telemetry and diagnostic tools.
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you should have at least 6 years of experience in backend software development, with a strong emphasis on platform engineering. We require demonstrated professional experience using Go in a production environment. You should be comfortable thinking in terms of modular systems and understand how your architectural decisions impact both your fellow engineers and our end users. Please note that while this is a 100% remote position, it is currently open only to candidates residing within the East Coast time zone of the United States or Canada. Proficiency in English is required for this role.
