The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us navigate the fascinating complexity behind our platform. While our users enjoy a seamless experience, our backend handles intricate banking infrastructure and over 2,500 redemption options. You will play a vital role in maintaining this balance, working in a fully remote environment that prioritizes high-quality documentation and minimal meetings. This approach ensures you have the time and space to focus on meaningful work while maintaining a healthy balance in your personal life.

A day in the life

• You will take full ownership of product features, handling everything from the initial scoping and architecture to coding, testing, and final deployment.
• You will collaborate directly with fellow engineers and designers to brainstorm and implement creative solutions for our users.
• You will actively contribute to our engineering culture by mentoring teammates and refining our processes and codebase to boost overall productivity.

Who you are

You are a seasoned engineer who thrives on building complex web products from start to finish. You feel comfortable working across the entire stack, and you have strong proficiency with Ruby on Rails and React or similar JavaScript frameworks. Because we operate as a documentation-first company, your written communication skills are excellent. You are a self-starter who prefers to drive your own work rather than waiting for instructions, and you possess the empathy required to truly understand the needs of both your teammates and our users.
