About the Role
We are searching for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform and Data Engineering team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and optimizing data ingestion pipelines that manage significant volumes of real-time and batch data. You will design systems that are reliable, performant, and scalable, ensuring seamless data integration across our entire infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust data ingestion pipelines capable of handling large-scale structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define data requirements and ensure smooth integration with various sources.
- Proactively monitor and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks to maintain the health and integrity of our data systems.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who brings a strong background in software engineering and a passion for building clean, maintainable systems. You should have the following qualifications:
- At least 4 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Deep familiarity with distributed systems, databases, service-oriented architectures, and data infrastructure.
- Proficiency with our core technology stack, including TypeScript, React, Node, AWS, and Kubernetes.
- Excellent debugging skills and the ability to identify root causes for complex technical issues.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently while knowing when to seek support from the team.
- A desire to refactor and create clean abstractions that make complex systems easier for everyone to understand and develop.
Location
This is a hybrid role based in the United States. Candidates should be within commuting distance of San Francisco and willing to work from our office at least 8 days per month.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $170,000 to $210,000 per year. We are committed to supporting our team with a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
