We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. At ConvertKit, we operate as a fully independent and remote company dedicated to helping creators earn a living through our marketing platform. We empower podcasters, authors, YouTubers, and coaches to grow their audiences and monetize their work. Our culture thrives on emotional intelligence and radical candor, and we are currently on a mission to help creators reach $1 billion in earnings. You will join a specialized group focused on commerce compliance, fraud prevention, and data-driven analytics to help our users succeed.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of complex technical challenges across the full stack while collaborating closely with your teammates.
- Play an active role in shaping the technical direction and standards of our codebase.
- Communicate proactively with product stakeholders and work cross-functionally to deliver high-quality solutions.
Requirements
- Proven track record of delivering multiple software products within a team environment.
- Extensive experience building and scaling production applications using Ruby on Rails.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and React, or comparable modern frameworks.
- A commitment to writing code that is performant, accessible, and maintainable.
- The ability to work autonomously in a remote setting while maintaining strong communication in public channels.
- Availability to collaborate effectively within US time zones and a willingness to attend bi-annual in-person retreats.
What we offer
We provide a standardized salary structure regardless of your location. Depending on your experience and our interview process, this role is compensated at either $147,000 or $174,000. We also offer a comprehensive suite of benefits to support your well-being and professional growth:
