Role at a glance
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position, so you can work from anywhere in the world. You will be a key contributor to our mission, focusing on high-performance engineering for the Solana network.
Your impact
- Translate and optimize complex Rust code from the existing Agave validator into our new open-source Zig validator client, Sig.
- Conduct deep-dive performance research to identify and resolve software bottlenecks, utilizing advanced techniques like SIMD operations.
- Take full ownership of your validator components, leading the entire process from initial design and implementation to benchmarking and testing.
What you'll need
- At least 3 years of professional experience working with Rust.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a diverse group of engineers.
- A collaborative mindset and a genuine excitement for the decentralization of blockchain ecosystems.
- Proficiency in English.
- Experience with memory-managed languages like Zig, C, or C++ is considered a plus.
