The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This is a unique chance to join us at the ground level, where you will have a direct hand in shaping our product roadmap and establishing the foundational frameworks that will guide our growth. You will collaborate closely with our engineering and design teams to build a market-defining product, all while helping to foster a culture of excellence, ownership, and customer obsession.
A day in the life
- You will contribute to the end-to-end development of the Socket web application, ensuring that we deliver features quickly while remaining agile to user feedback.
- You will partner with our design team to craft elegant, user-friendly interfaces that simplify complex security processes for our customers.
- You will build robust APIs to manage data from various sources and implement data pipelines to handle information from third-party services.
Who you are
You are an experienced engineer who thrives in the early stages of a company and enjoys building systems from the ground up. You communicate clearly in English and bring a strong background in designing production-ready web applications. You are comfortable working with Node.js, JavaScript, React, and TypeScript, and you have experience integrating relational databases like Postgres. While you are proficient in our core stack, you are also a fast learner who is not tied to any single technology. We especially value candidates who have experience with GraphQL, Elasticsearch, data pipelines, or headless browsers.
