About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the Red Canary platform, helping us build and maintain the products that process billions of events every day. You will work within a product team to ship enhancements and new features, ensuring our security solutions remain effective and scalable for our customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy high-performing code to continuously ship quality product updates.
- Collaborate with design and product management teams to take features from initial concept through to final launch.
- Maintain and support complex applications within a 24/7 production environment, including addressing bugs and optimizing system performance.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience in shipping high-quality SaaS products. You should be comfortable taking full ownership of features and have a strong technical background that includes the following:
- Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, along with experience using tools like RSpec and Sidekiq.
- Familiarity with modern web technologies and infrastructure, specifically React, HAML, Redis, Postgres, AWS, and Docker.
- A proven ability to design scalable software architectures that handle high-volume background tasks.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to document processes and share knowledge effectively across teams.
Location
This position is remote and open to candidates located anywhere.
Compensation and Benefits
The targeted base salary for this position is $150,000 to $171,000, with additional eligibility for bonuses and equity based on your experience. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:
