What is this role?
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us in a full time capacity. This is a remote position, meaning you can work from anywhere in the world. As a senior member of our engineering group, you will play a vital role in shaping our technical direction and maintaining the high standards of our blockchain infrastructure.
What will you do?
- You will maintain and enhance our business-critical services that are written in Rust.
- You will research and build prototypes for new, cutting-edge blockchain technologies.
- You will review technical architecture across the company and provide constructive feedback to your peers.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in software design, architecture, and engineering. We are looking for someone who possesses the following qualities and skills:
- Expertise in Rust programming.
- Experience working with message-based and event-sourced architectures.
- A proven history of developing smart contracts.
- Prior experience in the blockchain industry, specifically with Layer 1 protocols.
- An extreme ownership mentality, where you take full responsibility for your projects and tasks.
- A professional work ethic and a genuine desire to improve existing codebases.
- Fluency in English to collaborate effectively with our fully distributed team.
It is a bonus if you have experience with the NEAR ecosystem, such as the nearcore codebase, or if you have a background in developing and auditing security-sensitive code. Familiarity with the EVM and the broader Web3 ecosystem is also highly valued.
