Your Impact on our Mission

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will partner with our Co-Founder as well as some of our most senior and tenured engineers on a new initiative and fast growing product - an AI-based voice agent that answers inbound phone calls to hospitals and doctor's offices. We believe great engineers can learn AI, which is why we're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who's excited about growing into AI development. No prior AI experience required – we'll provide on the job experience and mentorship. This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced software engineer to transition into AI development while working with a specialized team within Zocdoc.
Your day to day is…
- Building and maintaining high-quality software that will gradually incorporate AI capabilities
- Learning how to work with LLM’s while continuing to deliver solid engineering work
- Designing scalable, maintainable applications using modern software practices
- Collaborating with Zocdoc’s most talented engineers to learn and gradually take on AI-related projects
- Contributing to the end to end development of consumer facing products
- Building products designed to scale quickly
- Working with cutting edge GenAI tools and technology
You’ll be successful in this role if you have…
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong proficiency in C#
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
- An ownership mindset and a proven track record of learning new technologies quickly
- Enthusiasm and passion for learning AI/ML technologies
- Analytical horsepower and a natural curiosity
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
