At Zocdoc, we are on a mission to give power back to the patient. For too long, the healthcare experience has been defined by outdated directories, long wait times, and confusing billing. We are changing that by operating the leading digital health marketplace in the United States, where millions of patients connect with providers across all 50 states. As we enter our 17th year, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in a hybrid capacity. You will work directly with our co-founder and a group of highly skilled engineers to build our new AI-based voice assistant, a product designed to handle inbound calls for hospitals and clinics. What you'll be doing
- Design and maintain high-quality, scalable applications while gradually integrating new AI capabilities into our core platform.
- Collaborate with our senior engineering team to learn and implement modern GenAI tools and technologies.
- Take ownership of the end-to-end development of consumer-facing products that help us improve the healthcare experience for everyone.
What you'll bring
We are looking for someone who has a strong foundation in software engineering and a genuine curiosity about artificial intelligence. You do not need prior AI experience, as we provide mentorship and on-the-job training. You should have the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience, with deep proficiency in C#.
- A solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices, data structures, and algorithms.
- Strong software design principles and a proven track record of learning new technologies quickly.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Fluency in English.
What you'll get
