Our APIs currently support applications serving over 250 million consumers, yet we are still in the early stages of our mission. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our remote-first team and help us build the infrastructure that will define the future of green energy.
Key outcomes
- Develop and refine integrations for the Enode API to broaden our reach and enhance the user experience.
- Architect and deploy scalable backend solutions while optimizing system performance and data management.
- Shape our long-term infrastructure strategy to ensure it aligns with our rapid growth and the evolving needs of our customers.
- Maintain high system reliability by troubleshooting production issues and participating in our on-call rotation.
- Lead significant technical projects from initial concept through to final release, ensuring cross-team alignment.
- Promote an inclusive and collaborative engineering culture by mentoring colleagues and facilitating open communication.
- Engage directly with our customers to gather feedback that informs our product roadmap and technical priorities.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience delivering high-quality, production-ready software across complex systems.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Deep understanding of testing strategies and a commitment to maintaining high code quality standards.
- Experience with AWS, Docker, and SQL (specifically PostgreSQL), as well as infrastructure management using CDK or CloudFormation.
- Proven ability to diagnose issues across services and improve observability and monitoring.
- A history of success in fast-paced, high-growth environments where you have addressed engineering challenges at scale.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset focused on mentoring others and continuously learning from peers.
- Fluency in English.
