We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Cards team on a full-time, on-site basis in the Netherlands. At Knab, an online bank founded in 2012, we combine smart technology with straightforward thinking to deliver simpler, smarter, and more affordable financial services. The Cards team handles all card transaction processing, card life cycle management, and tokenization for services such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, building our own solutions and integrating them with external providers and other domains inside Knab.
Responsibilities
- Develop and test applications that meet business requirements while following industry best practices.
- Write secure, high-quality production code, review and debug contributions from teammates, and create the technical documentation that supports ongoing work.
- Provide technical and engineering support for both new and existing applications, including unit and integration testing to verify functionality and performance.
Requirements
- At least seven years of hands-on experience with C# and .NET Core.
- Proven experience with event streaming, cloud platforms (preferably AWS), serverless architecture, and container-based deployments.
- Practical knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure as code, container orchestration, microservices, and distributed architectures, including SQL, S3, and NoSQL storage solutions.
- Familiarity with AWS services such as System Manager, KMS, and CloudWatch, as well as core networking concepts like load balancing, DNS, and reverse proxies.
- Understanding of software development patterns including Domain Driven Design and Test Driven Design, plus experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Docker, and Fargate.
- Strong communication skills, a structured approach to work, and the ability to collaborate effectively while stepping up to lead when needed.
- Residency in the Netherlands and fluency in English.
