The role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis. This is a senior-level position for someone who has spent years building server-side applications and can take a product from the initial concept to a fully realized solution. You will be expected to work from our office three days a week, collaborating closely with our leadership and engineering teams to shape the future of our platform.

Core responsibilities

• Partner with our leadership to design and produce clean, modular, and highly effective backend services.
• Build, test, and monitor reliable web services while researching the best design patterns to solve complex technical challenges.
• Actively contribute to the growth of our team by participating in the hiring process and mentoring colleagues.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong foundation in modern software engineering practices and a proactive, resourceful mindset. We require the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in professional server-side development.
• Mastery of modern backend languages, with a strong preference for Golang, though experience in Java, C++, Python, or Ruby is also valuable.
• Deep proficiency with SQL and database management.
• Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure management, preferably using AWS.
• A deep understanding of how to balance rapid delivery with long-term system maintainability.
