The role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Dev Tools team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a senior-level position for someone who is passionate about improving the developer experience. You will play a key role in shaping how developers interact with our platform, ensuring that our tools are intuitive, powerful, and efficient.

Core responsibilities

• Develop MCP server tools that eliminate boilerplate code, allowing developers to focus on building websites rather than managing low-level CMS configurations.
• Build and maintain GitHub integrations that leverage AI to automatically suggest and implement code changes, significantly accelerating development workflows.
• Enhance our content modeling capabilities by introducing new field types and enabling Git-like branching workflows for custom types and content within Prismic.

Skills and experience

We are looking for someone who values both robust backend architecture and the developer experience. You should be comfortable working across the stack with a primary focus on backend systems. Key qualifications include:

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, along with experience in AWS and serverless architecture.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL, React, Playwright, and GitHub Actions.
• A deep understanding of software modeling, including schemas, migrations, and system evolution.
• Experience building SDKs, frameworks, or platforms where developer experience is a priority.
• Familiarity with AI-driven developer tools and a commitment to quality engineering practices like testing and observability.
• A pragmatic approach to problem-solving, with the ability to balance architectural improvements with the delivery of incremental value.
