The role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level position that requires a high degree of independence and technical leadership. You will work in a hybrid capacity within the United States, collaborating closely with our product team to design and develop robust software solutions. We value engineers who are eager to mentor others, participate in pair programming, and maintain a rigorous standard of code quality across our distributed systems.

Core responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex, end-to-end projects, driving them forward from initial requirements gathering to final production deployment.
• Design and build scalable, high-performance software solutions for IoT environments where tens of thousands of devices connect simultaneously.
• Collaborate with your peers to write clean, maintainable code while actively participating in our code review process and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should bring a strong background in full-stack development and a passion for building reliable systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• 6 to 12+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js, alongside proficiency in React, Python, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
• Deep knowledge of web technologies, HTTP, Websockets, and Linux environments.
• Experience with Golang and AWS is considered a significant plus.
• A proven ability to decompose complex business requirements into functional, high-quality technical solutions.
• Familiarity with IoT devices, embedded systems, or digital signage technology is preferred.
