Senior Software Engineer at Hopper

We are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our team and help us build a world-class travel booking portal for our APAC partners.

What you bring

In this full-time, remote role, you will work within a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and product managers to launch new features and scale our business. We rely on a modern tech stack including React, TypeScript, Redux, XState, and Scala. You will be based anywhere, and your primary responsibilities will include:

• Designing, building, and reviewing code for our travel portals.
• Operating autonomously while maintaining close alignment with designers and product managers.
• Exploring and implementing engineering improvements for both our team and our products.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with at least 5 years of experience who thrives in an environment that values thoughtful creativity and high ownership. You should be an expert in React and comfortable working with our specific stack. The ideal candidate is someone who can navigate ambiguity, manage multiple features simultaneously without sacrificing code quality, and distinguish between tasks that require immediate perfection and those that benefit from an iterative approach. Proficiency in English is required to ensure seamless collaboration across our global, asynchronous team.
