What is this role?

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a remote, hands-on individual contributor role that requires a high level of technical expertise and autonomy. You will be working across the full depth of our platform, from edge devices to the cloud, to ensure our systems are performant, observable, and ready for real-world production use.

What will you do?

• Build and maintain high-throughput, low-latency services using Python and C++, taking full ownership of the lifecycle from initial development to monitoring and incident response.
• Design and manage robust data pipelines that handle everything from raw sensor ingestion to transformation, storage, and final delivery.
• Develop and optimize infrastructure using Kubernetes, Terraform, and GCP to ensure reliable and repeatable deployments for our containerized services.

You are a versatile engineer who is comfortable working in a Linux environment and using AI-assisted coding tools to improve your workflow. We value generalists who can ramp up quickly on new technologies and think critically about system behavior under load.

• You have 5 or more years of professional experience with a strong focus on backend and systems engineering.
• You are proficient in Python and C++ and know how to choose the right tool for the job.
• You have a solid foundation in algorithms, data structures, and systems design, including experience with real-time or streaming data systems like Redis Streams.
• You have hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Docker, and REST APIs.
• You possess strong communication skills and can explain complex architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical team members.
• You are fluent in English.
