What you bring
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Data Language team within our Digital Twin department. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Germany or Austria. You will play a key role in our effort to make building data interoperable and machine-readable through semantic modeling. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Designing sophisticated data and information models by formalizing concepts across various domains.
- Integrating and managing data processing pipelines for IoT, smart factory, and building systems.
- Collaborating on our knowledge engineering backend to solve complex interoperability challenges.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong background in Software Engineering and be proficient in Python, Scala, or Java. We are looking for someone with deep experience in Semantic Web Technology, ontology engineering, and knowledge graphs. You should be comfortable using RDFS and OWL for data modeling and have practical experience with graph query languages like SPARQL or Cypher. Familiarity with graph validation tools like SHACL or SWRL and experience with graph databases such as Neo4j, AWS Neptune, or Apache Jena is essential. We value candidates who demonstrate strong analytical skills and a transparent, collaborative communication style. Fluency in English is required for this role.
