We are Vetcove, a venture-backed company on a mission to modernize the massive animal health industry. Our platform serves as a central hub for over 17,000 veterinary hospitals, allowing them to compare and purchase supplies from all their vendors in one place. By streamlining the supply chain, we help veterinary teams spend less time shopping and more time caring for millions of animals. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our fully remote, high-growth team and help us scale systems that facilitate billions of dollars in orders annually.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of projects from initial concept through to final implementation, including planning, development, and system maintenance.
- Build and extend interactive applications using React and React Native to provide seamless experiences for our veterinary purchasers and partners.
- Collaborate closely with our CTO and the broader engineering team to design robust data models, write efficient API endpoints, and ensure high code quality through rigorous testing.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally with a focus on building production-grade web applications.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and experience with at least one industry-standard backend language, such as Python.
- Solid understanding of modern web frameworks, ORM usage, and database optimization techniques for platforms like Postgres.
- Experience working with Elasticsearch, Redis, and Git in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset that thrives in a fast-paced startup setting.
What we offer
The base salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $200,000 per year, depending on your specific location and experience. In addition to base pay, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
