About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Insurance Distribution team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be instrumental in building the technology that powers our onboarding, application, and coverage workflows. You will take a lead role in architecting large-scale features, influencing our technical direction, and mentoring other engineers to ensure we maintain high standards as we grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of complex, large-scale features that align with our core business objectives.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of insurance workflows and translate those needs into scalable, flexible technical solutions.
• Foster a culture of engineering excellence by mentoring team members, conducting thorough code reviews, and establishing consistent design patterns.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, we look for candidates who bring a strong foundation in software development and a collaborative mindset. You should have at least 6 years of professional development experience and a proven track record of delivering high-quality, reusable systems. We primarily use TypeScript for our full-stack development, so proficiency there is essential, while experience with Ruby is considered a plus. You should be comfortable designing schemas for relational databases like PostgreSQL. Because we work in a highly collaborative environment, you must have exceptional communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers. A solid grasp of modern testing practices and general software engineering principles is also required.

Location

This position is remote and can be based anywhere in the United States. Please note that we require availability during our core collaboration hours, which are 8:30 am to 2:30 pm Pacific Time.

Compensation and Benefits
