At Puck, we are rethinking the hiring process by moving away from cold filters and checkboxes. We believe hiring should be a human experience, so we use audio clips and analytics to help companies showcase their culture and connect with the right talent. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis. You will be working alongside a small, seasoned group of entrepreneurs dedicated to building products that bridge the gap between job seekers and employers.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of end-to-end application development, applying your experience to make architectural decisions that stand the test of time as our products evolve.
Balance the need for rapid product iteration with high-quality standards by utilizing a mix of automated testing and manual QA processes.
Act as a mentor to colleagues of all experience levels, whether you are conducting code reviews, explaining technical concepts to non-technical team members, or guiding junior developers through architecture challenges.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has spent significant time in startup-like environments and understands the realities of building and maintaining software. You should be comfortable with our current technology stack, which includes Node.js, TypeScript, React/Redux, AWS, Postgres, and Redis. While we value your expertise, we also look for a language-agnostic mindset and a willingness to learn new tools. You should be a proactive communicator who respects the maker schedule, meaning you know how to manage your time to prioritize deep, focused work while staying aligned with the rest of the team.

What we offer

The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a hybrid work environment designed to support your productivity and work-life balance.
