At Miter we help construction contractors run their businesses with modern tools instead of the clunky systems that have held the industry back for decades. Our platform combines AI and embedded payments to power the HR, finance, and operations workflows that keep critical infrastructure projects moving. Since our launch in 2021 we have grown to thousands of customers and tens of millions in ARR, backed by more than fifty million dollars from Bessemer, Coatue, and Battery. We are now looking for experienced engineers who want to shape the operating system for the built world.
What is this role?
We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join us on a full-time basis. The position is open to candidates at the senior level and can be performed from anywhere on a fully remote schedule.
What will you do?
- Lead the design and implementation of new products and systems from start to finish.
- Work with cross-functional partners to define product architecture and guide the technical roadmap.
- Raise the technical bar across the team by offering detailed feedback during blueprint reviews and code reviews.
What makes you a great fit?
You bring at least four years of professional software engineering experience and a proven record of shipping production systems. You are comfortable solving complex technical problems, modeling data, and building robust APIs. You are curious about how our customers work and eager to understand the business context behind every feature. You communicate clearly in writing, own your deliverables reliably, and give thoughtful technical feedback that helps teammates grow. Our stack centers on TypeScript, so fluency with React, React Native, Node, Express, MongoDB, and Stripe will let you contribute from day one. All work is conducted in English.
What's in it for you?
We provide comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, a company-matched 401k retirement plan, generous paid time off, and sixteen weeks of paid maternity and paternity leave. You will also receive an annual learning budget, commuter benefits, regular company retreats, and equity compensation. Because the role is fully remote, you can work from anywhere without an office requirement.
