The role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a senior-level position where you will play a vital role in designing and enhancing our large-scale, data-driven systems. You will work both independently and as part of a collaborative team to deliver end-to-end projects that drive our mission forward.
Core responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy robust, large-scale data systems while managing data storage and optimizing data processes.
- Write clean, high-quality code that adheres to industry standards and maintain comprehensive documentation to support our software development life cycle.
- Stay at the forefront of technology trends to create enterprise-level architectural solutions that utilize Big Data frameworks and modern cloud environments.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong technical foundation and a proactive mindset. We require the following qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in backend programming and API development using languages such as C#, .NET, Scala, Python, or Java.
- Hands-on experience with cloud environments, specifically AWS.
- Deep expertise in relational databases like MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle, alongside experience with non-relational databases and Big Data frameworks like Spark, Hive, or Hadoop.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, source control systems like GitHub, and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and an adaptive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.
