Senior Software Engineer at Science Exchange

We are searching for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Science Exchange, where we build a platform dedicated to accelerating scientific research. Our digital marketplace connects scientists with a network of over 3,500 qualified labs and service providers, helping top life science organizations streamline their R&D workflows and advance drug discovery.

Responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into functional features by executing on user stories.
• Design and implement robust systems that address complex challenges for our customers and our business.
• Refactor and optimize our existing architecture to improve scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance to help them grow.
• Enhance our internal toolset to boost productivity across the organization.
• Communicate technical concepts and solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Engage with external partners and clients to facilitate technical integrations when necessary.

Must-haves

• 6 to 8 years of professional experience developing web applications.
• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS serverless technologies, specifically Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.
• Strong background in managing Salesforce infrastructure, including Apex and the LWC framework.
• Proficiency with standard development tools including Jira, Confluence, and GitHub.
• A proven track record of building enterprise-grade software in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Exceptional communication skills in English, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences.
• The ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across various time zones.

Nice-to-haves

• Practical experience working with AWS CDK.
