Senior Software Engineer at LHV Bank

LHV Bank is a fully licensed institution in the United Kingdom that focuses on providing banking services to global fintech companies and SME lending solutions for local businesses. We offer a comprehensive suite of financial tools, including multi-currency payments, account services, and open banking solutions. Our platform supports over 200 prominent fintech partners, such as Wise and Truelayer, helping them reach millions of customers across the UK and Europe. Since receiving our UK banking license in 2023, we have been actively expanding our retail banking presence and are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Capability Platform team. In this role, you will help design and build the infrastructure that powers our banking services and integrates with our partners.

Key outcomes

• Design and maintain scalable software solutions that support our multi-channel banking operations.
• Build resilient applications using Kotlin and gRPC, specifically optimized for Kubernetes environments.
• Utilize AWS services, including Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, and StepFunctions, to expand our platform capabilities.
• Implement DevOps practices to improve the efficiency of our development and deployment lifecycles.
• Participate in high-level architectural planning to ensure the long-term reliability and scalability of our systems.
• Work closely with stakeholders to turn business requirements into effective technical implementations.
• Analyze and resolve complex technical issues to maintain system stability.

Requirements

• Significant professional experience in software engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in Kotlin or Java.
• Practical experience with AWS and cloud-native architecture.
• Strong understanding of DevOps methodologies.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on debugging complex systems.
• Strong English communication skills to facilitate collaboration across teams.

Preferred qualifications

• Previous experience working within the financial services sector or other highly regulated industries.
