What is this role?
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our clinical software team in our London office. This is a full-time, hybrid position designed for an experienced professional who wants to apply their technical skills to meaningful healthcare research. You will play a vital role in developing the applications that allow us to collaborate with our partners and support the development of our multi-cancer early detection blood test.
What will you do?
- Design and build full-stack applications that directly support our cancer research initiatives.
- Develop and maintain the infrastructure and tooling required to power our internal systems and clinical workflows.
- Collaborate within a cross-functional team to solve complex, real-world problems that require both software solutions and strategic thinking.

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in software engineering and a desire to work on technology that impacts human health. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Java, or TypeScript.
- Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure.
- Strong analytical skills and a preference for creating simple, effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to various audiences.
- Familiarity with MySQL and experience in the healthcare or biotech sectors are considered significant assets.
- The ability to work from our London office on a hybrid basis.
