At Diagrid, we are driven by the belief that open-source software and standardized APIs are the most powerful tools for modern development. Our mission is to simplify the way developers build and run cloud-native applications by providing abstractions that allow teams to focus on their code rather than infrastructure management. Founded by the creators of Dapr and KEDA, we are backed by industry-leading investors and are committed to helping organizations de-risk their projects while achieving operational excellence.
The role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our fully remote, distributed team. This is a full-time position for an experienced engineer who is passionate about building, scaling, and maintaining the core features of Diagrid Cloud. You will play a vital role in shaping our product architecture and ensuring our platform delivers a seamless experience for developers working with Dapr and Kubernetes.
Core responsibilities
- Design and implement new capabilities for Diagrid Cloud, spanning from backend service logic to frontend user interfaces.
- Build and maintain features focused on Dapr operations, Kubernetes orchestration, system observability, and cost optimization.
- Take full ownership of your features by managing the entire lifecycle, including design, testing, deployment, and ongoing monitoring.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong foundation in computer science and a deep understanding of distributed systems. We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of professional experience designing and building distributed systems.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience operating production-grade public cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in Go, with at least 2 years of hands-on development experience.
- Practical experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container-based systems.
- Experience working with Google Cloud or similar cloud service providers.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to mentor early-career engineers.
Compensation and benefits
We believe in supporting our team members both professionally and personally. Our benefits package includes:
- Equity compensation to ensure you share in our success.
- A remote-first work environment with flexible hours.
- Generous paid time off.
- Comprehensive medical insurance for you and your dependents.
- A dedicated home office budget to ensure your workspace is comfortable and productive.
How to apply
If you are excited about the future of cloud-native development and want to help us build the next generation of developer tools, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your application to be considered for our team, and we will reach out to discuss how your background and interests align with our mission at Diagrid.
