The role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. This is a senior-level position for a versatile developer who thrives in a full-stack environment. You will play a critical role in shaping our backend architecture and improving the developer experience for the many technical customers who rely on our platform daily.

Core responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable backend APIs that integrate diverse IoT protocols and hardware brands into a single, cohesive interface.
• Develop and refine client libraries and SDKs to ensure our customers can easily and reliably interface their applications with physical devices.
• Apply SRE principles to monitor system performance, manage incidents, and ensure the high reliability of our infrastructure.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• At least 4 years of professional experience in full-stack development with deep expertise in TypeScript.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, specifically with PostgreSQL, including complex schema design and performance tuning.
• A strong understanding of SRE practices, including system monitoring and incident management.
• A proven ability to build scalable APIs and client libraries that prioritize developer experience.
• A pragmatic mindset that balances the need for high-quality code with the necessity of shipping products quickly.

Compensation and benefits

We offer a competitive base salary range of $130,000 to $200,000 per year, supplemented by equity. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
